Learning at Hopetoun
Learning is part and parcel of a visit to Hopetoun in a stimulating variety of subjects. The interior and exterior of Hopetoun House, the Gardens and Grounds, the parkland, woods and the coastline all provide inspiration for learning. Working together, the Hopetoun Education Team and Ranger Service bring to life the history of Hopetoun and provide in depth knowledge on its landscape and environment.

From serious individual scholars, specialist groups and school parties to families on a day outing, we provide access to a range of learning opportunities, with much of it based on having fun, especially for the children.
Our Education Team work closely with the schools curriculum to develop themes relating to the history of Hopetoun House and also provide a selection of day workshops for environmental studies in the Hopetoun Parkland.
Our Ranger Service has an indepth knowledge of the unique natural and built environment of Hopetoun and provides fascinating walks and events for groups and visitors. The Ranger Centre is open during seasonal opening times to drop in and see the displays and latest finds.
