"Hopetoun is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. Staying at Mid Lodge Cottage proved a tremendous location. The quiet, tranquil setting gave a wonderful backdrop to the hustle of visiting local attractions. Hopetoun is a central location that makes visiting the various parts of Scotland convenient. The cottage was magnificent, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The staff provided the little touches that make holiday travel a little bit special. There is everything one would want in the cottage. The staff are friendly and courteous and always willing to help - with a smile. Linda and Michele especially so - we will come again!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh celebrating my mother's 70th birthday in style. She was delighted to have so many castles and historic places to visit. We loved the included tour of Hopetoun House. The staff were so friendly and helpful, regaling us with stories of the Lords & Ladies in the pictures & where the furniture had travelled from that we spent a whole afternoon exploring the rooms. Mid lodge was a joy to stay in - slightly smaller than Hopetoun House but very cosy indeed :) What a beautiful setting for a holiday retreat. The welcome pack of food and the flowers were a lovely touch which we all appreciated. It was perfect and we were sad to leave. Thanks for everything and my Mum said she wouldn't mind going back there again for her next big milestone!"

"Dear Linda, thank you very much for organising our recent stay at Mid Lodge. The flowers and welcome basket were lovely and gratefully appreciated. As a result we had to fit in a visit to the Farm Shop before we left on Sunday to stock up on a few essentials! As you know we were there for a family get together for my Mother's 80th birthday and to meet up with family and friends. It was lovely to be back at Hopetoun again and we all enjoyed our guided tour of the house. We went to The Rail Bridge Bistro (one of your suggestions) on Saturday night for a meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We also managed to fit in lunch at the Garden Centre on Friday, lunch at the Stables Tea Room at Hopetoun House on Saturday and several walks round the Deer Park with the dogs. We enjoyed our stay so much that we would like to book again for next year.
