Guide Dog Session

On Saturday 5th February, members of the Young Hopetoun Club welcomed Catriona, a puppy walker with Guide Dogs for the Blind.  Accompanied by 2 puppies, she talked about her work involved in preparing them for the training programme which would allow them to become guide dogs.  The children then took turns to lead a partner who was wearing a blindfold through an obstacle course, to teach them about the difficulties faced by visually impaired people in every day life.  All dogs and children were beautifully behaved!

The next YHC meeting is on Saturday 5th March, when we will be exploring the legend of the Green Man in the Hopetoun woods and making one of our own.  See the What's On Calender for more information.
